We are looking for a Process Engineer with a background in water and environmental engineering. In this role, you will contribute to consulting projects related to the design, optimization and monitoring of water and wastewater treatment processes.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Develop and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Plan water and wastewater plants in multidisciplinary projects
  • Analyze large data sets to improve the performance and operational efficiency of plants
  • Perform detailed calculations in process design, capacity and treatment efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports and performance evaluations

We are facing a rapidly growing market in water and wastewater treatment with stricter requirements from the EU. This will require more expertise and greater capacity. As part of the water and wastewater treatment group in COWI, you will have a unique opportunity to make a difference. Effects on the environmental from wastewater and security for our most important resource, clean drinking water, are part of our everyday job. We are already involved in exciting projects such as Fuglevik RA, Lillevik RA and Biri VBA where we are at the forefront when it comes to nitrogen removal and choosing design criteria based on sustainability. We are looking for a person who are eager to learn new skills and with a genuine interest in process engineering. In addition, you have:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering within water and environmental engineering or related specialization
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within water and wastewater treatment
  • Solid knowledge within the process technology
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Norwegian language skills at minimum B1 level
