RAMS lead
COWI has a very strong position in Norway within transportation and urban development and is experiencing a high demand for large development projects. The Transportation division consists of about 70 employees within railway disciplines, who are proud to offer a professional and well-balanced working environment. In the coming years, we will be collaborating with many of the industry’s most ambitious clients, contractors, and consultants on projects such as the Bybanen Bergen, Fornebubanen, Hamar station including new Thales Signalling System, including several other projects in Norway and abroad. In this position, you will become part of our global team of experts. You will collaborate closely with good colleagues and the Head of Discipline. Your main tasks will be risk and RAMS management in one of the country's leading professional Rail environments.
In addition, you will,
- Plan and coordinate risk and RAMS management processes in projects together with your colleagues.
- Perform risk analysis and facilitate workshops.
- Perform reliability assessments and analysis to predict failure modes and assess system performance. Use techniques like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and reliability block diagrams (RBD).
- Utilize specialized RAMS software and tools to create reliability models, predict system behaviour, and identify potential issues.
- Provide simulations to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement strategies for ensuring ease of maintenance.
- Assist the section manager in identifying new markets and customers.

Furthermore, you have:
- Preferable minimum 3years of experience in RAMS engineering or related fields.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- You have experience in conducting RAMS analyses, reliability assessments, and failure analysis.
- You have good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of failure analysis methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA).
- Experience with risk management and safety analysis tools (e.g., HAZOP, Event Tree Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis).
COWI has customers and projects that may require security clearance at various levels. There may therefore be requirements for security clearance in some projects/positions.
