The Norwegian bridge team consists of more than 60 employees with the entire COWI Group totalling more than 500 bridge engineers internationally. Opportunity for both specialist expertise and project management
We can offer exciting assignments and a great variety of projects, a few highlighted below:
- Preliminary design for the E39 Bjørnafjorden (5.5 km floating bridge) for Statens vegvesen.
- Zoning plan for E6 Moelv-Roterud (incl. new Mjøsbru) for Nye Veier.
- Hangarbrua, design of an aluminium network arch bridge for Statens vegvesen
- Construction plan E8 Ramfjorden bridge (incl. 900 m composite steel concrete bridge) together with Statens vegvesen.
- Design and build Rv4 Roa-Gran Border together with Hæhre for Statens vegvesen.
- Design and build Fv44 Stasjonsvei-Gausevågen together with Risa and Kruse Smith for Rogaland Fylkeskommune.
- Design and build Fv359 Kaste-Stoadalen (incl. cantilever bridge over the Telemarkskanalen) together with HHS for Vestfold & Telemark fylkeskommune.
- Rehabilitation of Fv359 Kongsvinger suspension bridge for Innlandet fylkeskommune

We are looking for someone with:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in structural engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with design of bridges and civil structures
- Good theoretical knowledge
- Good written and oral formulation skills, both in Norwegian and English
- Site experience is an advantage
- Experience with SOFiSTiK, alternatively RM Bridge or FEM-Design is an advantage
- Experience with TEKLA, Naviswork, Solibri and Revit is an advantage
We seek motivated and skilled engineers who are interested in further professional development within the field of bridge design and civil structures.
The responsibilities of the role will be adapted to experience and motivation.
Please note that some customers and projects may require security clearance at various levels, necessitating security clearance for some projects or positions.
