You will join our Energy Market Unit
As our new project construction manager in our energy unit, you will be part of a growing team with highly experienced members in Norway. We conduct early phase studies, engineering and construction management services for major energy companies in Norway. Our services include offshore, electrification, waste-to-energy, biofuel, carbon capture, hydrogen and e-fuels. As a project construction manager, either working in standalone construction management projects or as part of an EPCm project team, your most important role is to lead the multidisciplinary construction management team from pre-construction, construction, installation, commissioning, start-up. Through reaching the project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints, you will become a trusted advisor and owner’s representative for our clients.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Project construction manager in pre-construction and construction phases
- Overall construction management at the construction site
- Planning, organising, and controlling resources, budget, processes and progress
- Manage site team typically consisting of civil-, mechanical-, electrical and automation supervisors, commissioning and start-up leads, logistics lead, site services, HSSE and work permit assistant manager
- Development and implementation of site construction procedures, including a QHSSE system, permit to work system, etc.
- Coordinate, monitor and follow-up relevant contractors
- Coordination of supervision
- Contract change management
- Project reporting
Additional task will be;
- Support our business development function actively including activities such as client meetings and tender preparation.
- Use your knowledge and network to identify project opportunities
- Build good working relations to other parts of the Rambøll family and draw on full service offering of complete organisation
The project construction manager will report to the Country market director for Energy in Norway.
For the candidate with the right leadership skills there is a potential for further career advance. This responsibility will involve developing the energy unit and take part in management tasks and strategic tasks set out in the strategy plan.
Your starting point for constant growth

- Technical college or B.Sc. in related disciplines or equivalent
- Min. 10+ years of experience managing and leading the onshore construction activities in industrial and/or energy projects
- Preferable experience from EPC contractor or consultancy
- Knowledge and experience with the Norwegian regulatory framework and HSSE requirements
- Strong multidiscipline knowledge
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude, structured - and analytical mind set
- Good English and Scandinavian language skills – both verbal and written
- Residence in Norway
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: excellent communications skills, great interpersonal skills and with the highest focus on HSSE standards to ensure the safety of people on the construction site. You are service minded and client centric. Furthermore, you are independent in your working style, but enjoy working in teams. You already know the industry very well and find it easy to build a wide and effective business network and you have a sense for a sales opportunity.
