COWI is investing heavily in an interdisciplinary approach to tomorrow's sustainable solutions, and the Environment department at COWI Norway is growing consistently. We are now looking for a sustainability advisor within LCA for environmental follow-up in the building and construction industry.
The department consists of over 100 innovative environmental advisors who work all over the country. We collaborate in interdisciplinary teams in different business areas, and have knowledge exchange with customers and colleagues, both locally and across national borders, which aims to make us an industry leader in environmental consulting.
COWI is constantly winning large and small projects where we are environmental consultants; among other things, we work on some of the most prestigious projects in the country such as the Fornebu Line, the «Regjeringskvartalet», the Bergen Light Rail, Bodø Airport, etc. We participate in numerous projects, each distinct from the next, where our specialized expertise in environmental matters is applied.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and prepare greenhouse gas budgets and accounts in several different sectors
- Assess and investigate environmental and climate measures in different projects
- Prepare and follow up environmental programs, environmental follow-up plans/external environmental plans and environmental risk assessments and use environmental follow-up plans as a management tool in projects
- Prepare environmental management documents, tender documents and requirement specifications, work plan and impact assessments
- Follow-up of projects in the construction phase with regard to the environment and climate
- Contribute to tender work and to interaction and competence sharing in professional groups and across office locations in Norway

On top of that, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant education at master's level
- BREEAM certification is preferred, but not a requirement
- Good Norwegian presentation skills both orally and in writing
- Category B driver's license
