Market Director - Datacentres
COWI is an international consultancy within engineering, architecture, energy and environment. Together with customers, we co-create sustainable and beautiful solutions that improve the quality of life for people.
Datacentres play a vital role in society, and the decisions made today will shape a more sustainable future. At COWI, we are looking for a Market Director to grow our Datacentre market in Norway and internationally by setting strategic direction, leading cross-disciplinary proposals, and building lasting customer relationships.
Be part of growing our Datacenter market
In this role, you will help expand COWI’s position within the Datacenter market by bringing together customers, colleagues, and partners to create long-term value. You will combine business development, relationship building, and leadership of complex proposal processes across Norway and beyond.
You will join a diverse and collaborative market team of 14 colleagues and report to the Senior Market Director for Buildings and Industry in Norway. The role has an international perspective, with close cooperation across Scandinavia and engagement with customers worldwide.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Contribute actively to strengthening and expanding COWI’s market position within Datacentres.
- Develop market activities that build long-term customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Identify leads and establish a strong pipeline, maturing opportunities from early engagement to tender, proposal and contract negotiation.
- Take part in tender selection processes and other Go/No-Go decisions.
- Oversee and execute proposal activities, ensuring submissions and presentations meet COWI sales process quality standards.
- Participate in pricing and commercial condition discussions.
- Act as Key Account Manager and contribute to the development of new key accounts.
You will collaborate with colleagues and customers from many backgrounds and disciplines, helping create inclusive and effective sales and proposal processes
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
- A relevant educational background, e.g. architecture, engineering, economics and administration, or law, and experience working in the private segment.
- Previous experience with long-term management of key client relationships and business development.
- A significant personal network within the Datacentre industry.
- Solid experience developing teams for complex proposal and contract preparation.
