Market Director - Buildings and Industry South East, Norway

Everything starts with the customer – that is what drives the development.To further establish COWI as a customer-centric company, we are looking for a Market Director to be responsible for coordinating sales efforts, ensuring business development, and developing the execution of large proposals within the building sector. You will maintain key client relationships and ensure a solid pipeline of opportunities. In this role, you will get the chance to use your commitment and creativity to develop buildings and industry towards a more sustainable future.
You will be an integral part of the team with 14 dedicated colleagues and report directly to the Senior Market Director – Buildings and Industry South-East, Gunn Edvardsen. And you will join and strengthen a team that has a focus on buildings, data centers and API manufacturing facilities. Sustainable Cities co-create resilient and sustainable Scandinavian cities. To ensure time-to-market and the right project requirements, we optimize and facilitate design processes from an early stage, focusing on clear project framing and execution of high quality.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop market activities towards long term relationships and high customer satisfaction.
- Identify leads and establishing pipeline, mature leads to tenders, proposal and contract negotiation.
- Take part in tender selection processes and other “Go-No-Go” decisions.
- Develop and deliver proposal activities, ensuring high-quality submissions and presentations using COWI sales processes.
- Participate in pricing and commercial condition discussions.
- Act as Key Account Manager and take part in development of new Key accounts.

On top of that, you will have:
- A relevant educational background ex. architecture, engineering, economics and administration, law and experience working in the private segment.
- Experience and knowledge from building projects.
- Previous experience with long-term management of key client relationships and business development in Norway.
- A significant personal network within private developers, pension fonds and contractors in Norway.
- Solid experience developing teams for complex proposal and contract preparation.
- Professional proficiency in English and Norwegian – written and verbally.
