Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow

At COWI, we are involved in some of Norway's largest development projects within water and wastewater. Our customers belong to both public and private sectors, and our employees also contribute to interdisciplinary projects across divisions and geography. Locally, we work on both small and large projects, everything from early planning to as-built documentation.

Candidates who prefer other office locations are also welcome to apply. The discipline currently consists of 15 engineers/civil engineers in both Stavanger and Kristiansand specializing in complex utilities solutions. We work both on our own projects and collaborate closely with COWI's other professional environments across offices in Norway. At the Kristiansand office we have engineers across several disciplines specializing in stormwater, environment, infrastructure and water treatment solutions. We have one of Norway's notable professional environments and are involved in the design of some of Norway's most significant projects.

The role reports to Head of Discipline, and your key responsibilities will typically be to:

Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Professional knowledge and a minimum of 8 years' work experience within WS technology with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, candidates with less experience are also encouraged to apply and will be considered
  • Experience from planning/design in interdisciplinary projects (construction/transportation)
  • "Good implementation skills both alone and in collaboration with others.". Interest in sharing knowledge and assisting to develop yourself and your colleagues
  • Commercial focus and a desire to find the right solutions for the customer
  • Ability to professionally manage complex WS projects, as well as good communication in the project group and with the customer
  • Good written and oral communication skills in both Norwegian and English
