Advisor in hydrodynamics/oceanography
We see a growing demand on hydrodynamic modelling and how climate change is affecting water levels. As an advisor in hydrodynamics/oceanography you will be working with data-driven insights and will be able to contribute to the development of new technologies or methodologies for marine ecosystems. To support and develop our services within this field, we are looking for an advisor in hydrodynamics/oceanography to join our Discipline: Climate adaptation. We are working alongside our customers on some of Norway’s most innovative and impactful projects in hydrodynamics/oceanography. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like sea level rise measures in Bergen (https://www.bergen.kommune.no/api/rest/filer/V45124304) and the Stad shipping tunnel (The world's first tunnel for maritime traffic).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Hydrodynamic modelling of amongst other water quality issues, waves, currents and water levels
- Fieldwork using oceanographic instruments
- Analysis of both model and field data using scripting (Matlab/Python)
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations

On top of that, you will have:
- Master’s degree in oceanography/ hydrodynamics or similar
- Preferably a few years’ experience with modelling and data analysis
- Strong urge to develop you further in this field
- Minimum B2 level in Norwegian speaking and writing
